You’re here because you’re ready to start working with an editor. (Looking for indexing?)

Why work with me?

I’m an experienced editor and I was university faculty and an administrator for twelve years. In addition to my experience with scholarly materials, I am an avid home cook and cookbook collector, with extensive training in recipe and cookbook editing and indexing.

When you work with me, you get peace of mind and extra time. I value your voice and will ensure your text expresses your argument and message effectively

I will ensure your text is clear, logical, and grammatically correct, while also addressing consistency, logic, and flow. (Copy and line editing.)

I can help you identify the best presses to publish your work, and help you craft a winning scholarly book proposal. (Consulting and coaching)

I can help you navigate the process of revising your dissertation into a publishable scholarly book. (Developmental editing)

I can help you understand and navigate the time issues surrounding publishing and tenure. (Consulting and coaching)

I will be a supportive member of your team, helping navigate writing practices, meet progress goals, flesh out ideas, untangle writing you feel stuck about, and and help you respond to reader reviews. (Coaching)

Whether you’re feeling stuck at a certain point, transfixed by that blank page, working to integrate reader reviews, looking for guidance on your book proposal, or want an editorial eye on your full manuscript before you submit, I can help with that.

I offer editorial support in three areas:

I support scholarly authors through line editing and copyediting, coaching, and consulting about publishing success. I also assist with tenure and promotion materials.

I support graduate students through ethical dissertation editing, coaching, and through workshops for cohorts and larger groups.

I support cookbook authors and publishers through recipe and cookbook editing as well as indexing.
